Description
Abstract
Following each decennial (every 10-years) US Census the Florida Constitution Article VIII, Section 1(e) and Florida Statutes Chapter 124 require County Commission Districts to be redrawn to assure districts are "as nearly equal in population as practicable."

Purpose
Although county commissioners are elected at large, Hernando County residents typically think of "their commissioner" as the representative of their geographic district.
